The Big Return

I am more an earrings girl than a necklace one. I like big colored hanging earrings to match my round face.  And I think wearing such earrings with a necklace is too much. Almost all the time I choose earring to necklaces. “Less is more“, remember?

But today the necklaces will show their big return! 😀

Wrapped Rhinestone Necklace – “Vera Wang presents feminine sparkle—with a side of chaos. Emerald-colored green rhinestones accent at tangled web of gunmetal links and beads. Get your fix of glamour, while retaining your unique edge.”

Green, my forever favorite color! I can not decide what I like most: the gunmetal or the few green beads! Oh, well…:P

Multi-Bead Necklace by Stephen Dweck – “Ideal for accenting Fall’s deep gem-tone color story, this necklace features a contemporary, chaotic construction of multiple cool-hued beads and differing chains.

Large Link Necklace by Kenneth Jay Lane – “Enhance the deep claret red and bordeaux color palette of the season with this Kenneth Jay Lane coral and gold-plated necklace. Fill a scoop neckline and illuminate your face with this glitzy bauble, just be sure to wear hair upswept.”

I like the color of this necklace! And because Fall is the season for  beige and brown, I think this orange necklace will make wonders and brighten our wardrobe.

Wood & Pearl Ribbon Necklace by Lanvin – “Alber Elbaz offers an accessory to fill the necklines of pieces both neutral and vibrant from the Lanvin Spring 2011 collection. This combination of signature touches—pearls, grosgrain, knots—and new baubles results in dark, uncommon glamour.”

I just love the ribbon, whether it is on a dress or a jewel. It is so girlish and yet so hot. Do you remember your dresses that your mother bought when you were a child? I think all my dresses had ribbon, but I was very proud to wear them.

Layered Crystal-Chain Necklace – “This Vera Wang necklace presents feminine sparkle—with a dark side. A chain-shaped bib is packed with pave black crystals, backed by signature wrapped chains. Use this necklace to fill deep necklines on dramatic looks, or add a chaotic splash to basic tops and tees.”

I think this necklace is perfect for some smokey eyes and a red strapless gown!Don’t you?

Lapis Pendant Necklace by Paige Novick – “An eye-catching lapis pendant is enriched by is golden surroundings, infusing your look with a majestic accent. With two chains, you get the both of best worlds—a short chain to fill scoop necklines and a long chain to drape down over high and boat necklines.”

Do you have blue eyes? No? It is ok because you can choose a blue clutch to match the splendid necklace :D. I like that you can wear it as a long necklace when dressed more casual (e.g. flats, white dress), but you can always take it with a smart gown!

Knotted Chain Necklace – “This Robert Rodriguez necklace ties itself in knots—so you don’t have to. When you’re looking for the perfect statement piece to cap off your look with a touch of chaos, choose this one-of-a-kind creation.”

Fed up with the gold era of the 90s, starting with faculty I left all my gold jewels at home and started to wear only silver jewels and though: “I will never wear gold or any other related accessories!”. But never say never! This year it was the first to discover that I like golden jewels and this particularly chain necklace I adore!

Multicolor Skull Necklace – “You wear Pamela Love pieces because they are unlike any other jewelry out there. With subtly dark allure and a whisper of whimsy, this multicolored skull necklace is a conversation-starter.”

This necklace is for my friend, Co, that loves skulls on shoes, on bags or jewels!

  1. This was the type of necklace I wanted for my civil ceremony, but unfortunately I wasn’t lucky enough to find one here in time. If I remember correctly, last season in Zara they had similar pieces. Hopefully we’ll find them in the new collections in stores this fall.

  2. I love the Vera Wang necklace and the blue pendant one. As I can’t wear earrings I always choose a necklace (always meaning from time to time when I feel like it, because otherwise my watch -I never ever leave the house without it- and wedding ring are the only pieces of jewelry I wear). But earrings and necklace together is a NO NO in my opinion. xo
