Long weekend sign out

Because tomorrow we celebrate our country’s national day, I have a long weekend in front of me. And I think I have to visit some shops because they are really missing me, but really, wink! And I badly want a burgundy dress!

And maybe a new hat! I have just discovered a Romanian hats producer! So, have a nice weekend and see you next week!

Chicness

Is that something more feminine and ultra chic than embroidery, lace and beads all together in an amazing corail gown? I can only imagine how much work and how talented are the persons behind this fabulous gown!

Flamenco red passion look! Could not pass without noticing the dramatic and fascinating look!

Oh, the lace open-toe shoes are on the top of NYC and of my wish list!

I think I have a new passion: burgundy dresses. Ever since I saw SJP in that Marchesa dress, I could not stop thinking of how amazing that color and tailoring can be. But now, with this Vera Wang strapless gown Leighton Meester is wearing for the ad campaign of  “Lovestruck” fragrance, I am one hundred percentage sure!

Details

If I learned something after the new house decorating experiment is that the details are the most important and that it is better to go for neutral colors furniture and afterward, if you are a bold colors lover, you have the possibility to choose a lot of interesting little design pieces to transform your home into a cozy and personal one!

So, because my friend is just like me, all pink and green and orange and she is looking for a  new kitchen, I will dedicate my first interior design post to the colors in our life! And I found some interesting pieces, like that in the left corner  – a Ludovic XV commode, the light blue shelf with hanging coffee/tea cups of different shapes and colors just above and the simple, but very pinkish table below. And bonus – the good looking cupcakes (even if they are not my favorites sweets), their look is just too pretty!

Another Day

…in the office!

I have always enjoyed my coffee in the office! Don’t you just feel that the coffee is better when someone else prepares it for you, wink? Even if I have a hectic morning and a lot of things to solve, my day becomes sunnier with a cup of coffee made just for me!

And some sweets aside. Which one, which one? Isn’t this the best morning in the world?

Just because…

  • I very much love Paris and I recently heard a story about the locks (well, it is a sad one, but I like to think that when you are on the Port des Arts and put a lock there, you are full of illusions and quite beautiful feelings);
  • I like Garance Dore (she is so virtual charismatic and her writing always make me laugh) and last but not least
  • I am totally a SATC fan!

I thought sharing with you today this rebel romance editorial is not such a bad idea. Yes, right in the middle of the week, wink!

Ok, ok, I admit it! I just could not resist these amazing gowns SJP is wearing in this Big&Carrie editorial!

So, in the first image, she wears an amazing Nina Ricci silk-satin dress and shoes (do you remember my mint obsession? well, this is a dream gown for me – Santa will totally be broke after he brings my gift! so if you have a wish-list for him, just forget about it :D) and Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière necklace.

The second is a Versace chiffon dress matched with Manolo Blahnik heels – Carrie’s obsession and this reminds me of the party where she had to leave her Manolo sandals at the door and somebody stole them.

Lanvin banded washed-silk evening dress and gloves in the third picture are not very bad!

And the last, but my second favorite after the mint Nina Ricci is this lovely burgundy Marchesa satin-organza dress (the pumps are Christian Louboutin). So, Santa, if you think that the mint gown is not for me, you can bring me the Marchesa, I won’t be too upset, just a little bit…

Got Cold Feet?

I am totally hooked on these amazing Calzedonia stockings and leggings! It’s almost a month now since I’ve discovered a very close Calzedonia shop. And since then, I make a stop each time I pass by, wink. I did not purchase the entire collection :D, but have made a considerable deposit of warm and amazing stockings and leggings in my closet!

These leggings are just so warm, perfect match for a pair of ankle boots!

What about the bow? I know it’s a little cold now, but the spring will come eventually!

Nineteen Forty Something…

Don’t you just love admiring really old editorials or covers of the famous magazines?! Cause I do! Can you imagine that there was life, I mean fashion life back in 1945 (let’s say)? Really? With the II WW and all, some people were really designing clothes and others photographing beautiful women?

Well, it seams that the answer is: of course! And another thing: do you see how much the nowadays fashion is inspired by back then fashion? Do you? Of course you do! We had a SS 2011 full of 70s! I posted yesterday a collection FW 2011/2012 full of 50s. So, our grandmas wore almost the same clothes as we do today. I said almost! Enjoy!

Ulyana Sergeenko

Known as a Russian photographer and present on the street style blogs, as you can see here

or here

Ulyana Sergeenko is also a designer and her debut with a fall/winter 2011/2012 collection was a hit! Inspired by the 50’s, she achieved a feminine vintage ladylike glamor look. The collection is presented on a retro floral background and the influence of the 50s is very well underlined: midi or maxi skirts, ample or very tight on the hips. Except for the intense red, Ulyana preferred calm and neutral colors for her collection. Ulyana described her clothes as a mix of Soviet Union Vogue during the 50s! Oh, yeh! What else may the combination of kerchief, transparent blouse, floral maxi skirt and orange lipstick suggest?

Models – Sasha Luss, Alina Krasina, Lena Lomkova and Nata Kor

You can see more of this collection on Vogue Russia! I really like the floral prints and how the waist is underlined in the whole collection! What I do not like so much are the ankle boots…hmmm, I think they are a little bit too ballooned for me.

Intriguing…

So, how many prints is too much? I saw here a great look that comprises leopard, tweed and stripes prints. And I like it, it was not too much at all and I am sure the outfit’s beauty was totally underlined by the colors’ pallet Justyna chose.

I told you before that I am reluctant when it comes to prints. I like stripes and polka dots and wear such pieces, but sometimes I really want to go for an intriguing (not necessarily colorful) print!!!
